Your questions and progress become part of your reading of the book.

The books
Every book in the public library is selected and uploaded directly by Foxing administrators. We curate public-domain literature and review each edition before it is published. Public-domain status can differ by jurisdiction, so availability may change when a rights concern is identified. Public-domain books are free to read.
The companion
The reading companion is powered by a large language model provided by a third-party service, DeepSeek. Because it is an AI, its responses can be wrong, incomplete, or simply not to your taste — treat them as one reader’s thoughts, not authoritative fact. Every reply is generated by AI. How your conversations are handled, including where they are processed, is described in our Privacy Policy.
What it costs
Public-domain books are free to read. AI co-reading includes a limited free trial. An anonymous reader can try a limited number of full co-reading turns; verifying email grants 100 welcome credits and saves your journey. After that, buy one-time credit packs when you need more.
